of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 for flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical equipment (as mentioned in Annexure-B) to be associated with Crawler Mounted Electro-Hydraulic Side Discharge Loader (SDL), type : DI 37/1000 manufactured by M/s. Simplex Engineering & Foundry Works Pvt. Ltd., Bhilai-490 026 (Chhatisgarh) for use in belowground Coal Mines.

DGMS approval as per Annexure -B IDENTIFICATION MARK DGAS APPROVAL No. 612/EHQ dated 21.06.2001 Dear Sir, Please refer to your letter No. SE/MKTG/DGMS/SDL-LH/APP-06/1094 dated 02.03.2017 and subsequent correspondence thereupon the above subject.

Based on DGMS approval No. 612/Ei-lQ dated 21.06.2CC1 for flameprocf and intrinsically safe electrical equipment (as mentioned in Annexure-B) to be associated with D137/1000 Crawler Mounted Electro-Hydraulic Side Discharge Loader (SDL)I type manufactured by M/s, Simplex Engineering & Foundry Works Pvt. Ltd., Bhilai and DGMS approval under reference, I hereby renew the approval upto 06.06.2022 from the date of expiry i.e. from 06.06.2017 for use in belowground Coal Mines, subject to compliance with conditions stipulated in the original approval as well as annexure -A.

The application for renewal should be made at !east three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.

In addition, every machine shall also carry permanently this Directorate's approval mark given below Govt

(ii) In the nameplate marking shall be in accordance with the applicable requirements of the relevant standards.

The relevant provisions of the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2010 shall be complied with in all matter relating to the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment.

The electric supply to the machine shall be controlled and protected by DGMS approved flameproof Gate-end-Box of suitable rating and provided with sensitive earth leakage protection, All covers, doors/access covers of the electrical equipment mounted on the machine, the opening/removal, which may expose live internal conductors, shall have warning instructions either by raised lettering or by other suitabie means against such opening/removai of covers, doors and access covers without isotating supp;y of energy to the equipment from its source.

Any replacement part required for maintenance cf the equipment vvhich is directiy or indirectly connected to the flameproof features thereof shall be supplied by the manufacturer as and V!hen required.

The electrical equipment and cables associated with the machine shall be checked by the Electrical Supervisor of the mine for their respective flameproofness of the equipment and condition of cables in the beginning of each working shift and the findings thereof enter into a bound-paged book maintained for that purpose which shaii be duly signed by the Electrical Supervisor with the date.

The user Shail furnish the performance report of the equipment directly to this Directorate after one (01) year of actua\ use.

The users in consultation with the manufacturer shall frame a code of practice for the control and guidance of persons employed for the installation, operation and maintenance of Crawler Mounted electro-hydraulic Side Discharge Loader (SDL), type .

and The cable entry devices, threaded adaptors and stopping plugs shall be suitable for the equipment and be considered as a pat of equipment (not a component). The cable entry device and cabling methods used shall be suitable for their intended duty and for the special type of cable used in mining. Such cable entry devices shall be duly certified as per relevant IS/IEC standards.

While seeking renewal of approval, valid BIS license in the case of Indian manufacturers and in case of foreign manufacturers, QAR/QAN as may be applicable shall be submitted and the same shall remain valid as long as the apparatus is manufactured and marketed..

All technical assistance shall be rendered by the supplier at the time of initial installation of the machine underground. The suoplier shaii also maintain contact with the user to get thernseives fulty apprised of any difficulty that may be faced ty the user in the matter of use, maintenance and operation of the machine.

The machine supplied by the manufacturer must be compatible with fire resistant hydraulic fluid conforming _,to the standards and parameters as prescribed in the DGMS/Mech/Tech.Cir (Approval) No. 02, Dhanbad, dated 13.02.2015.

The high pressure hydraulic hoses supplied vv:th the machine Sha" conformed tc the standards and parameters as prescribed ir the DGMS/Mech/TechCr (Approval) No 04, Dhanaöd, dated 13020015.

In case of any permissible variations issued from this Directorate, they shall also be read along with this letter and the original approval ;ette;-.

All circuiars/generai approvals issued by DGMS from time to time, relevant to the equipment shall also be complied with.

The approval is renewed upto 0$.06.2022 from the date of expiry i.e. from 06.06.2017, At the time of applying for renewal, details of supply with name of mines, purchase order and date Sha!! be furnished with the Any modification/alteration to the machine that might be considered necessary at a later date in the interest of safety or/and efficient handling, operation, maintenance and manoeuvrability of the machine shali be carried out upon being so directed.

If at any time any of the conditions subject to which this approval has been granted, is violated or not complied with, this approval shali be deemed to have been revoked with immediate effect.

The above approval may be amended or withdrawn at any time, if considered so necessary in the interest of safety and is being issued without prejudice to any other provisions of law which may be or may become applicable at any time.
