Summary

The Forest (Conservation) Rules, 2022 (G.S.R. 480(E)) prescribed the earlier procedure for approval of forest-land diversion for non-forest uses including mining. They have been superseded by the Van (Sanrakshan Evam Samvardhan) Rules, 2023, which took effect on 1 December 2023, and are retained for reference only.
