Subject: Gazette notifications on standards for apparatus and equipment to be provided and maintained at Rescue Stations and Rescue Rooms; procedures for testing breathing and resuscitating apparatus, flow meters and oxygen purity, standards for initial and refresher training and practices for rescue-trained persons, medical examination of persons selected for rescue and recovery training etc. under different provisions of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rule, 2026.

Sir, The Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 of 2020), appointed the 21st day of November, 2025 as the date on which the provisions of the said Code, have come into force [S.O. 5321(E)] and subsequently Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Ruies, 2026 come into force with effect from 08.05.2026. As required under Rule 131(1), Rule 131(2), Rule 131(5), Rule 131(6) & (7), Rule 152(3), Rule 141(1), Rule 141(2) and Rule 140(3) of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026 following Gazette notifications on respective subject has been made and the said notifications also have been uploaded on DGMS official website, i.e. www.dgms.gov.in for information and strict compliance:
